QUOTE:
As with any art form, digital story-telling continues to evolve to accommdate new technologies, purposes, and creative visions. The important question for educators to ask is, "What does digital storytelling offer education?" The answer is "a great deal," if we do two things: focus on the story first and the digital medium later; and use digital storytelling to enhance students' skills in critical thinking, expository writting, and media lieracy.
THOUGHT:
My thought on this quote brings me back to the question of "What does digital storytelling offer education?" It can bring a lot on the plate as far as learning and teaching. As a teacher you will have days that you will have to miss for various reasons. You could use storytelling as a lesson for when you are not there. Yes you would still have a substitute, but step it up a notch and teach via stories. As a learning experience for students, you could have them come up with their own lesson and let them teach it to the class using this. I know as a teacher I will use this tool a lot.

I agree. I think that using this technology will make it easier to teach the kids. I like the idea of having the kids make their own lesson.
