THOUGHT:
With this quote I agree that we have a large percentage of children online, even more than the 75% in 2002. Technology has taking a toll on society that we think we have to have it to get by. There are school districts that are partnered up with local cable and internet providers that will give low income status families a computer with internet service around 10 dollars. I also agree that the 90's generation are more unsupervised then any other generation. This could be the fact that parents don't care what their children do, they want them out of our hair or it could just be parents trust them. Either way I believe that children need to be supervised, if not so many bad things can happen that can be prevented if you would just take that extra mile to see what your kids are doing.

I definitely agree that kids need to be supervised when on the internet. There is so much crap out there that we don't want them to be a part of. And there are so many more people using the internet on a daily basis, it seems like everything we do revolves around the Internet in one way or another ( like this class ). I think that it's a good tool, but needs to be used the right way.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% but with the way internet providers are blocking sites that even hint the theme of inappropriate children are more safe online then they have been ever, so more power to online studies.
